About
Monika Hübscher is a PhD candidate at the University of Haifa and a research associate in the project "Antisemitism and Youth" at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany. She holds an MA in Holocaust Studies from the University of Haifa and was a guest researcher and lecturer at Bielefeld University, Germany and Aarhus University, Denmark. Her research focuses on antisemitism on social media, algorithmic antisemitism and antisemitism in Germany. Her research was rewarded with scholarships from the Fondation pour la Mémoire de la Shoah and The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). She is the co-editor of the volume Antisemitism on Social Media (2022). She has given numerous lectures on the matter, among others, for the World Jewish Congress, representatives of the UN, UNESCO, EU and social media companies and delegates of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. Next to academic publishing, she also writes for The Conversation, The Times of Israel (blog) and taz blogs.
